Jean-Michel Saliou, head of the P3M platform (Proteomics and Modified Peptides Platform, PLBS UAR2014 US41), presented the technological advancements of the new generation of Orbitrap: the Excedion Pro Hybrid (ThermoFisher Scientific). The program included a hybrid webinar, which was a resounding success with over 50 participants. Jean-Michel concluded his presentation with... the live reveal of the first positive results from an ongoing project!
Among the applications and advancements of this new generation is TMT labeling, which enables the identification of up to 7,000 proteins using 35-plex analysis.
5 research projects are already underway and are utilizing this equipment, acquired as part of the CPER Resist-omics program.
