Equipment guidelines

  • Staff members at the platforms and laboratories that have hosted equipment funded by the Resist-omics project may contribute to the writing of scientific publications.
  • Their inclusion as authors is in accordance with the recommendations for authorship of scientific articles in the life sciences and health fields (2019, Aviesan).
  • Platforms hosting equipment and providing staff will be cited at a minimum in the acknowledgments.
  • The source of funding for the equipment will be publicized on the premises where it is installed and across all communication channels.

Mass spectrometer

The timsTOF fleX TOF-MS (Bruker) offers a suitable solution for large-scale spatial omics strategies guided by MALDI-MS imaging. It is the only instrument on the market capable of performing both highly sensitive, large-scale proteomic analyses and MALDI-MS imaging with resolution down to the single-cell level (5 µm) on a single system.

Confocal microscope

The LSM 980 confocal microscope (Zeiss) is integrated into a multimodal imaging system that provides a continuous range of resolution, from that achieved in wide-field fluorescence microscopy to that achieved in STED microscopy.

Spectral Flow Cytometry

Two Aurora CS flow cytometers (Cytek) have been installed at the Pasteur Lille and Santé campuses.

The purchase of these two instruments has enabled the establishment of a state-of-the-art spectral cytometry facility tailored to users’ needs. These latest-generation cytometers support single-cell analysis for the detection and sorting of existing cell subpopulations as well as the identification of new cell populations.

➣ Minimum detection capacity of 25 fluorescence parameters with 5 lasers

➣ Additional PSM-II safety cabinet installation at the Pasteur site, specifically enabling the handling of infectious samples or Type 2 GMOs.

High-Throughput Single-Cell Analysis

The acquisition of two Single-Cell RNA-Seq-Chromium systems (10X Genomics) enables the parallel analysis of thousands of cells at the transcriptomic level while quantifying surface protein markers. This type of instrument allows us to work with both fresh and fixed cells, thereby enabling the analysis of a larger number of samples. It also allows for sample multiplexing, either using OCM (On-Chip Multiplexing) technology or flex technology, thereby reducing experimental costs per sample.

Automated nanodistribution platform

This automated workstation (Biomek-ECHO) enables nanodispensing, with automated loading of plates of various sizes, primarily 96- and 384-well formats.

In this station, the ECHO650 nanodispenser enables the transfer of liquid nanodrops using acoustic energy. This technology improves the precision and accuracy of scientific results while reducing the volume of reagents required and eliminating the need for certain plastic consumables (cone-free system). Biological containment is ensured by a Class II laminar flow hood, the HBox.
